EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

DYFED-POWYS POLICE AND CRIME PANEL

6TH NOVEMBER 2019

COMPLAINTS AND CONDUCT

Under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 Police and Crime Panels have a role in dealing with ‘low level’ complaints against Police and Crime Commissioners. Serious allegations of misconduct are dealt with by the Independent Office of Police complaints (IOPC).

The attached report sets out how changes to police complaints procedures and changes to the community trigger process for dealing with anti-social behaviour could impact upon the number of complaints received by the Panel.
