ELECTIVE HOME EDUCATION: Cabinet Secretary’s response to correspondence

 

 

Education and Children Scrutiny Committee held a discussion on March 14th, 2018 on the topic of Elective Home Education in Carmarthenshire and further afield, having requested a paper on the topic - which was authored by relevant officers.

It was resolved at that meeting that a summary of points raised in the discussion be used to formulate a letter to the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Kirsty Williams.

The draft letter was circulated to E&CSC members for approval, was subsequently signed by E&CSC Chair and then forwarded to Kirsty Williams AM.

 

The Cabinet Secretary’s reply was received on 27.6.18 and is attached for information.
